Trained at Epsom Art School in 1977-9 and then studied Theatre Design at Croydon Tech HND. Classes at Brighton University Art School in Life Drawing. Portfolio Preparation at Chelsea School of Art. BA Hons Fine Art at Central St Martin's Art School. Oil Painting Diploma at Norfolk Painting School.

I designed and made hats and theatre costumes during the 1980's and early 2000's and since March 2021 launched my sole trader business as a painter. I have a studio at home having  left  OPO last  Autumn. I have had work selected and shown in the D31 Art Gallery in Doncaster and as part of a contemporary art auction in Southend earlier this year. More  recently  I have  exhibited  several times in group  and solo shows in  Scarborough and  most  recently  won a Finalist  award  in  Teravarna 13th  Animal  art  competition and  been  published  in online  art  magazine  ONART.

Previously I was showing work in Norfolk at The New British Art Gallery and I had a group show in Faversham Kent at Creek Collective with two fellow painter both graduates of The Norfolk Painting School.

I prefer to paint using oils and oil pastels as I love the quality that they give in terms of richness of glowing colour.  I love to use bright colours and patterning in my paintings and have been influenced by my favourite painters Van Gogh, Joan Eardley, Matisse, Klimt, Munch  and Monet to name but a few. I would describe my work as  Colourist with a strong graphic element in my bold designs. I enjoy painting birds, cats and dogs, influenced  by my pets.

I am constantly  intrigued  by  groups  of people  and  animals  even objects  for  the  interrelationships  of the  individuals within the  groups and the  narrative  that this  can  bring  to  my  paintings.
